Take a walk through the French Quarter's famous bars and restaurants and discover the history of the city's celebrated cocktails. It's history...with a twist! Take this tour on your first day in New Orleans to find out the places you must go!

IMPORTANT: This is a walking tour on uneven sidewalks and streets, so please wear comfortable shoes! During warmer months, we recommend that you wear lightly colored clothing; caps/hats and umbrellas are also suggested. All guests are required to be 21 years or older to participate in this tour.

We'll entertain you with classic stories of the unique concoctions made famous here in New Orleans and the characters that brought them to life, including Southern Comfort, created by M.W. Heron in a French Quarter bar in 1874.

Go behind the scenes at the oldest restaurant in the city to visit the wine cellar and the private dining rooms. You'll be shaken, not stirred, by the recipes of the city's most infamous cocktails along the way.

January - December: Daily at 4:00pm

Departure Location:

• Gray Line Lighthouse Ticket Office behind Jax Brewery in the French Quarter at Toulouse Street and The Mississippi River - at the steamboat natchez dock. Just one block from Jackson Square in The French Quarter.

Parking:

• Paid Parking is available at The Departure Location. The parking lot fee is approx $11.00 - $13.00 for up to 4 or more hours unless it is a special event. Please allow for extra time due to heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the quarter at all times.

Payment:

Your credit card will be charged the total amount of products and services selected at the time of booking. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Cards

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

This tour must be booked at least 24hrs in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print this voucher on you home/office printer and present SIGNED voucher at departure location. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge 100% for No Shows. If the tour is cancelled by the tour operator, the full ticket price will be refunded.
